Justin Williams
A native Memphian, Mr. Williams has always had natural ability as a musician. Mr. Williams marched in the award winning Fairley High School Band. At Fairley, Williams participated in the Concert and Marching Bands and was a major leader in the percussion section. He also participated and marched snare in the All-Star band from 2002 through 2004, and marched in the Alumni band in the year of 2005.
After graduating from Fairley High, Williams received several band scholarships. He then accepted a full band scholarship and and went to Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, TN in 2005. At TSU, Williams participated in the Marching Band, known as the Aristocrat of Bands, the Percussion Ensemble, and the Pep Band. At TSU, Mr. Williams was instrumental in the writing of several cadences that are still being used to this day.
Mr. Williams has also taught at many schools such as, Kirby High, Central High, Fairley High, and being the head percussion instructor of the Memphis All-Star Band. He is a highly sought after instructor, composer, and arranger of percussion music throughout Memphis and the rest of the mid-south.
